- MGD Solo con Invitación was the famous concert series that brought top artists, particularly in the Spanish music scene, to a group of 1,000 fans. Among the acts that performed in these secret shows were: El Gran Silencio, Enanitos Verdes, Jaguares, Maldita Maldita Vecindad, Maldita Vecindad, Aterciopelados, Café Tacuba and maaaany others.
If you were around at the time, this was a whole event! Rumors flew around about which band would be the next to perform, which venue would be the one selected. How would one get invited. It was all kept secret until the very same night when the band would come on stage. Oh and MGD gave out free, MGD ( in moderation of course) during the event too. Soooo, memories of these shows can be a bit blurry, también con moderación claro.
The series lasted 5 years and took place in many cities across the US.Several publicity agencies helped execute this, but let's give credit where credit is due, RLPR led by Roxana Lisa was THE agency that superb made this one-of-a kind experience happened with their efforts in press and publicity! —@implacable
