Yes, vinyl collecting is cool and all, but what about cassette collections? Here’s are some picts from the collection of @mysak_reyna While there are now plenty of 1990s Rock Latinoamericano albums, that are now being pressed in vinyl, the great majority of the now classic 1990s rock en español albums (particularly after 1993) were not released in vinyl. So, most for instance: the last Caifanes album and all the Jaguares catalog was only issued in CD and Cassette, same goes for Soda Stereo/Cerati. No album after Dynamo was released in Vinyl and certainly no Cerati solo album (except Amor Amarillo) was originally pressed in vinyl. Rumor has it that Cerati was not into vinyl, so who knows what he’d say now that all these albums have been pressed in vinyl. This is to say that most of the 90s Rock en Español albums were produced to be listened on CDs and Cassettes, which also has an implication on the artwork and lyrics published (or not) and how the songs were organized and published in the cassette format. Thanks to Misael for sharing! From your own collections, what is the cassette that is the dearest to you? #caifanes #jaguares #malditavecindad #heroesdelsilencio #enriquebunbury #hombresG #losfabulososcadillacs #eltri #alexlorayeltri #alexlora #rabanes #elgransilencio #lospericos #discosycintasdenver #discosdenver #rockmexicano #rockurbano #rockarchivoLA
