- Fragment of a physical music albums age: Ad for the Ritmo Rock stores that the music chain Ritmo Latino opened up in some of its flagship stores in Southern California. The Ritmo Rocks had an extensive catalog of music from everywhere, stocked a ton of Angeleno bands y si no lo tenĂan lo encontraban. Plus, they hosted several in stores in similar but roudier fashion as Amoeba, this as the bands played in the rooftop of the stores!
At the time, these were also the stores in with the highest foot traffic in some of the busiest Latina/o business districtions such as La Pacific in H.P. Van Nuys (es Very Nice) Boulevard, en la Broadway de Chula Vista just across the US-Mex border and in two thoroughfares that have seen the most gentrification and displacement of Latino-theme business: La Broadway in Downtown L.A. and La Cuatro in Santa Ana.
Ritmo Rock disappeared when the Ritmo Latino switched from selling music to selling cellphones and many of the Ritmo Latino stores are now T-Mobile outlets. ??????????? ????????? Which Ritmo Rock was your favorite?
