- Las Pampas, a South American themed restaurant located on Firestone Boulevard in South Gate was managed by an older Afro Latina. She who proved amenable to hosting all ages rock shows in her restaurant during the mid 1990s.The barely one foot high stage of Las Pampas hosted performances by most of the active rock Angelino bands at the time such as: María Fatal, Los Olvidados, Las 15 Letras, Ley de Hielo, La Razzza, Struendo, Eclipse, Juana La Loca (Pastilla) among many others. In addition, Argentinian bands such as Un Kuartito, Kadena Perpetua, and Babasónicos also played in the venue that became a destination for Latin American Rock in the 1990s.
