- Previously to being hyped by Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ, long before performances at the Vive Latino main stage, way earlier than that iconic appearance on U.S. national TV with Conan O’Brien, and definitely before them signing on with Vapor/Sanctuary Records (a super chic UK/US boutique record label distributed by EMI), Los Abandoned were doing what each and every single up-and-coming band should be doing: performing around LÁ and sharing their EPK to whoever requested.
The Los Abandoned Electronic Press Kit is a very artistically designed document? artifact?...thing? That contains their bio, en español e ingles, some snazzy photos with itsy bitsy quality size (era lo que había), and a dozen demo songs that are diamonds in the rough. Some recorded at a party, others in their rehearsals, and one track recorded live at “Smokin’ Mirrors that “ephemeral venue” housed on an East Hollywood warehouse just hidden off Hollywood Boulevard. Bueno ya nos les digo más: here are some photos (sin filtros) and bio selections of the Los Abandoned 2003 EPK, which in many ways are visual postcards of Los Angeles in the 2000s.
