Allen Theatre days! After the demise of Las Pampas most shows took place at ballrooms or backyard shows and the consistency proved short-lived. In 2002 and after hosting a ton of shows at a house transformed into a youth center, the Our House Collective (Old Man John & family, Clemente Ruiz, Rolando Mora, Mayra Aguilar and many more peeps) begins to host shows at the iconic, but then under-used Allen Theater in South Gate. The Allen hosted hundreds of shows of all genres between 2002 and its 2007 closing. What memories do you have of The Allen?
