Long before Alejandro Fernández titled his tours as “Uniendo Fronteras” the DIY punk tour comprised by Union 13 (East Los), Backside (Inland Empire), and Los Kung Fu Monkeys (Tijuana) embarked on an ambitious and epic multicity tour in Mexico during the summer of 2002.The flyer was most likely designed by Joel “rage.one” García, who is now a consummate visual artist and cultural organizer. He designed Flogging Molly’s 2006 “Whiskey on a Sunday” album and most recently the “Cycles of Existential Rhyme” artwork for Chicano Batman. This flyer is for the Guadalajara date of the tour which had Mala Leche, Los Scouts, and Inadapatados as the local support bands. In the following years both Union 13 and Los Kung Fu Monkeys would continue to tour throuought the US, Mexico, and Europe. #uniendofronteras #punk #skapunk #Union13 #Backside #LosKungFuMonkeys #Tijuana #EastLos #InlandEmpire #2002 #rockarchivoLA
