¡Vean nomás que chulada de flyer! This is from a tocada organized by the C.R.E.E. and El Sindicato del Hambre that they titled El Rescate and featured Los Olvidados and Motita. While not mentioned in the flyer of the flyer, this was fundarasing event to collect funds for immigrant rights organizations because, the struggle never ends. The Natural Fudge was a hippy-ish, turned punk venue in the gritty part of East Hollywood. As a venue it operated for about 25 years and has its place in the pantheon of Hollywood Rock Clubs. By the the 1990s, The Natural Fudge also became the host of many Rock Angelino shows, as it served as one of the first “Hollywood” venues that proved amenable to book Rock Angelino gigs. Remarkably, due to growing popularity of “rock en español” in LÁ, the venue proved to be too small for these CREE produced tocadas, than would then move to bigger clubs in the Sunset Strip. Since the late 1990s East Hollywood has been the home a vibrant Oaxacan community, de hecho una tienda llamada Antequera de Oaxaca, now sits next the former site of The Natural Fudge. Flyer from archives of Mariluz González. Thanks! #clubrockenespanol #rockangelino #rockenespañol #rocklatino #LosOlvidados #motita #ElSindicatodelHambre #1995 #rockarchivoLA
