That one-time Rock Angelino bands were asked by Spin Magazine (the cool music mag of the 1990s) to attend one full day for interviews and a photo session at Placita Olvera. All for Spin to publish a scant two paragraph story —written by Carolina González!— along a photo spread that featured only a couple photos of musicians (César from María Fatal, Kinksi, Adrián & Victor de Pastilla) who were not even identified in the story. Oh the rest of the spread was composed by photos of models that had nothing to do with the scene, but they meant to show the “LA rockero” Look. ¡No Pos Wow! Spin’s representation of Rock Angelino was hopelessly flawed.Yet, it also indicated the buzz around the LÁ bands in the second part of the 1990s. by the American mainstream music press. March, 1996.
