- Here’s a 2009 photo of “Bar El Sinaloense” at the former site of the American Legion Post on Santa Fe Street. This is in Walnut Park, an unincorporated area of L.A. County next to Huntington Park. The American Legion Post was the spot where several local promoters rented between 2002 & 2003 to organize ska, urbano, and metal gigs.
The whole building was razed in the early 2010s to build the Walnut Park Middle School which finally opened in 2013 as the Walnut Park/Huntington Park communities have chronically lack from sufficient schools for its residents since the 1970s, which is when, well when most white residents moved out of South East L.A.
