- From right to left: Joselo Rangel (Café Tacuba), Saúl Hernández (Caifanes) con su Red Stripe, and then some random dude…JK! That is none other than Gustavo Santaolalla. THE rock latino producer who produced the most memorable albums for bands like Caifanes, Café Tacuba, Maldita Vecindad, etc, etc. Besides earning a gazillion Grammys, Santaolalla would then go into film composing and earn two Oscars for the scores of “Brokeback Mountain” and “Babel.” Here they are at a bar in Mayami, eeerr Miami around the time of Café Tacuba’s unplugged recording in 1995.
