- This is the October 1992 cover of ERES Magazine featuring Maldita Vecindad!?(¡Aunque no lo crean!) The appearance by the socially-conscious band in the cover of this mag was controversial AF in its day. This as ERES was most fresa and preppy youth-oriented magazine in Mexico and was published by the Televisa media monopoly.
In addition, Maldita had long been the darlings of underground publications such as PusModerna, Banda Rockera, etc, etc. So yes, the band members were soon called sell-outs. But hey, they wanted to get their message across to more people. Now, let’s admit that the picts for this spread are ????.
