And in similar fashion to The Godfather; "Just when I thought I was out, January pulls me back in." Or something like that! Here's a flyer for a show produced by yours truly at The Roxy under the Ecléctica moniker in January 2001. It was another show part of the monthly Encendedor series, this would sought to bring bands from South East L.A. (but we didn't call the area that then, TBH) to Hollywood, so almost all of roster from South Gate's own One Shot Records was included in this line-up: Schizm, Teenage Rage, Viernes 13. Plus, La Resistancia also from South Gate. Rounding up the line-up were Las 15 Letras & Almalafa from Tijuana. I remember it being a great show, yet I don't own a single flyer from this show. The flyer was designed by Club London's Tom Cat because I didn't (and still don't) get along with photoshop. What is also remarkable is that with the exception of Las 15 and Teenage Rage, all the bands who played in this show 17 years ago are still at it, performing, and recording. The image is courtesy of Sergio Lavis who runs El L.A. Rock Archivo 90's and also archives some very amazing flyers and photos on Facebook.
