- These are the flyers that I designed on a Mac Classic II for this 2001 King Changó LÁ. I was never trained in graphic design, but as a milusos you do it all.
In September 30, 2001, I put together this festival I called Mondo Ska as it featured bands from all over the globe: East L.A. Sabor Factory, Almalafa (Tijuana), Wisecräcker (Alemania), Un Kuartito (Argentina) and King Changó de los Nuyores. It was one of the most solid and transnational line-ups I had in a concert. Yes, it was mere weeks after 9/11. So the mood was tense. Now, I only wish I could remember the bands' performances more.
