- So that happened, a Rock en español festival sponsored by RatDonald’s, I mean McDonald's on the eve of Thanksgiving 2003. The festival titled, “Lo McXimo de la Musica” the four city festival (NYC, Miami, Houston, LÁ) sought to fill the spot left by the Watcha! Tour in the early aughts. Yet, while it promised to be multi-year event, it turned out to be a one-time deal. It might have to do with the fact that the event sought to mostly target “young Latin males” (!?). The line-up featured Maldita Vecindad, Molotov, El Gran Silencio, Rabanes & Nortec Collective. Here’s the write-up on Billboard Magazine written by Leila Cobo and PIT ticket(!) for the LA date at the now defunct Universal Amphitheater that is part of @vicnomoredreads' collection
