#Repost @oscar_coronel ??? TBT At The Westchester bar and grill. 2005, 2006.. Couple of friends ask me how did I started in sound? It was at The Westchester and thanks to my friend Leo Machado. He was doing the booking during that time. I think it was almost two years since I stopped playing with my band, (I was still writing music and recording them in my garage right after.. (I still do)) that I received a phone call from Leo, he goes: "Dude, we are looking for a sound guy to mix live at the WBG. Do you want to do it?" Me: "I don't know how to mix live." Leo: "come on man, you know how to record and mix, I'm sure you can do it live" Me:"Ok, no sure but I'll think about it." and we hanged up. I think it passed 15 to 20 secs, a lot of things when thru mind so fast, and since I wanted to come back to the music scene, I called him back right away and told him. "OK, I'll take it" . The first weeks I was doing one day a week and some bands were complaining about me, in fact I almost got fire. It was challenging so I work really hard on It. It took me a couple months to get better at it and suddenly bands starting to request me and also promoters... long story. So I kept the job, this was my "second job" I actually had a full time job in the morning as a production manager in a warehouse but that's part of a different story.
