- I remember coming of age in the LÁ scene and listening to many of the Steady Beat releases. So when I first met, STR's mastermind, Luis Correa he was already a legend to me! Imagine my surprise that not only I got to meet King Steady Beat, but in time we co-produced several solid shows at The Whisky, The B.B. Kings, Knitting Factory, and other storied spots in the early aughts, like the March 1st show in this 2002 flyers.
I continue to be amazed by Luis' dedication and perseverance to keep Steady Beat Recordings going and thriving for a new generation of artists. Check out the profile of Luis and Steady Beat that came out in the @ocweekly this week. —@implacable
