- Volumen Cero, a Latin Indie band formed in Miami in the late 1990s was relentless hard-working band that constantly toured and visited SoCal. This is from their 2003 tour promoting “Luces,” their second album edited on a major label (Warner). This gig was a highlight of my trajectory as a concert producer. The line-up is solid: Pastilla, Go Betty Go and Juguete. Plus, I did three sold-out shows that same weekend: two shows with the “Baile en el Barrio Tour” with Las 15 Letras, Chencha Berrinches & Tokadiscos at the Whisky A-Go-Go on Friday, Chicago on Saturday, AND this nifty indie show on Sunday at the Roxy in Hollywood. Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep between all that traveling 4,000+ miles in 38 hours between LÁ-Chicago-LÁ. Oh, and I had a regular day job as a journalist waiting for me at 9am, bright and early on the following Monday morning… @implacable
