Here’s a LATV Live video featuring Chile’s Lucybell. following the steps of their fellow Chileans, La Ley, the power trio led by Claudio Valenzuela (no relation to El Toro, the doyer Valenzuela, JK) moved to LA in 2003 as the city was seen base from where @lucybelloficial could launch their career to a broader Latina/o audience in the US and Mexico. This did not quite work that way, as Lucybell did not reach the levels of popularity of other Latin American bands. Yet, Lucybell has continued to be band with a dedicated cult following. During their mid 2000s stay in LA Lucybell played constantly throughout Southern California. The band decided to moved back to Chile in the late aughts.
