Here’s the flyer for what was probably Argentina’s Attaque 77 first visit to Los Ángeles in 1997 that, of course included a gig in Huntington Park at the infamous Mendiola’s ballroom…JK! A77que, is one of Argentina’s most storied punk rock acts. Sadly were too late for the early 1980s LA Punk Great Riot of Huntington Park —which included The Exploited UK, The Vandals, Suicidal Tendencies— and too early for the punk backyard gigs that would be ubiquitous throughout South East Los Angeles in the late 1990s and aughts. This Ataque 77 presentation happened at very anti-punk rock congal of La Boom/Leonardo’s, back when in was on La Pacific and it featured Grupo Terror (¿?) as the opening band. The club was over 18 and it had a dress code. ???????? yet for concert nights it tended to relax its dress code. • ????: @rocksinfronteras ¡gracias! ¿por que disco quieres participar en la rifa? Ya saben que esta semana de aniversario se están rifando el vinilo de Pastilla, los dos discos de Las 15 Letras y el de Left Alone. All you have to do is: post a photo, flyer, video and tag @rockarchivoLA or use the hashtag #rockarchivoLA and state which album/CD you’d pick if you are the winner! ¡Suerte!
