The early aughts —o los 2000s como diría la Ximena Sariñana, yes, I went there— was an important moment for the transnational punk complicities between South East LA and México. Los Karma, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, and Union 13 toured up and down in México in 2002 and ‘03.
Plus, DMS played to Warped Tour that summer of 03 and taking Elvis Cortez (of @leftaloneofficial ) as a roadie! •
