- Oh the nineties were some wild and at times weird, times. This is a promo item for México’s metal/hip-hop band Resorte that was distributed in concerts and tocadas in 1999. To promote ‘XL” their second album, label reps from Universal Records decided to create a giveaway somehow connected to the XL title and they came up with….a condom? ???????????????? Btw, Resorte was in good company when in came to Mexican bands including prophylactics as part of their merch line. Café Tacuba also sold condoms in their best U.S. tours back in 1993. ????
