¡Raza! Aquí esta el flyer de un backyard gig ¡de 1993! This pary yardero armado por los “Fulanitos” (que eran un party crew) anunció a Ley de Hielo, Cábulo and Motita. Backyard gigs are what I consider “ephemeral forums.” These are informal, temporary and unpredictable social space where to have fun with your squad but at times are spaces of many more possibilities. These shows have functioned as meeting spaces that facilitated the creation of social networks between Latina/o youth of different nationalities and citizenship statuses. Plus, as “ephemeral forums,” backyard gigs facilitate the continued sharing of music, fashion, and ideas as way of ethnic cultural replenishment through continuous contact and engagement between U.S. Latina/o youth with cultural productions (such as rock, punk, ska, gótico, corridos, etc, etc) from Latin America. — @implacable #leydehielo #cabula #motita #fulanito #paryyardero #apoyaatusbandaslocales #backyardgig #ephemeralforum #foroefimero rockangelino #rocklatino #rockenespañol #losangeles #losangelescounty #1993 #rockarchivoLA
