Here's a November show flyer that advertised "East L.A.s 1st Annual Mexican Skafest" with Almalafa, the band that coined the "Mexican Ska" term. Plus, La Banda Skalavera de Long Beach (¿?), plus Matamoska, Gabriela Penka, 8 Calakas (sic) & Seis Pistos de Chihuahua, México. Btw, the Seis Pistos were some hard working guys who often would do the 15 hour drive from Chiuas to come play in LÁ. This all went down (or promised to do so) at Ali Baba's Pizza on Whittier Blvd. November 2003. Thanks to @sweeeeeet_high_life for sharing the ????!
