Fulanitos were a crew/squad/group of Rock Angelino teenage enthusiasts who decided to put on shows at (mostly) warehouses in North East L.A. and East L.A. Why? Due to the scarcity of tocadas/gigs in 1992/1993, they took it upon themselves to produce shows in different L.A. neighborhoods, so they could see emerging L.A. bands live and direct. Among the “ephemeral forums” that Fulanitos used for shows was the now mythical “Space” or a warehouse in Highland Park on the intersection of N. Figueroa St. and S. Ave 58 that was used for a multitude of genres for shows. This warehouse was later leased by Zack de Rocha (form Rage Against the Machine) and eventually transformed into the Regeneración / Public Resource Center. Check out the line-up for this August 1993 Fulanitos tocada: Ley de Hielo, Cábula, Motita and DJ Fulanitos of course. ¿Quien fue a uno de estas tocadas de Fulanitos? tag yourself!
